About West Baltimore United Methodist Church

How's your 2026 going?

I wanted to share another recent project that honestly reminded me why I do this work in the first place.

I had the honor of helping West Baltimore United Methodist Church bring their historic church into the digital age with a modern, mobile-first website.

Founded in 1843, WBUMC is an incredible anchor in the community. The new digital hub was designed to balance their deep legacy with high accessibility for seniors, while giving their office staff a custom CMS database to manage their 10+ active ministries seamlessly.

Projects like this highlight a common challenge for many established organizations, non-profits, and growing businesses: their real-world impact has outgrown their current website.

Solving the Main Problems in organizations.

When redesigning WBUMC's digital presence, we focused heavily on solving three core operational problems:

  • Accessibility Across Demographics: Creating clean layouts, readable fonts, and simple navigation tailored for an older congregation while keeping the energy high for new families.

  • Backend Simplicity: Building a dynamic CMS so administrative staff can update events, ministry news, and leadership info without needing a developer or risk breaking the design.

  • Mobile-First Experience: Ensuring that first-time visitors, community partners, and members on the go can instantly find service times, outreach programs, and giving portals.

Bring God's Dream to Life

As I open up availability for upcoming website design and strategy projects, my goal remains the same: helping organizations build modern, scalable web presences that drive real results without creating technical headaches for their teams.

If your organization—or a business or non-profit in your network—is due for a website or branding refresh, I’d be glad to connect or do a quick audit of your current brand or website.

Either way, I’d love to hear what you think of the new WBUMC site!

Grace and peace,

Justin
